B06: Nucleosynthesis in core-collapse supernovae

In project B06, we have made important advances in the investigation of critical microphysics aspects for supernova explosions and nucleosynthesis. We will use multi-dimensional supernova simulations to test the impact of new developments on the nuclear equation of state and neutrino-matter interactions. These microphysics inputs affect the neutron star evolution and thus the neutrino energies and luminosities that determine the nucleosynthesis. We will combine supernova simulations and state-of-the-art microphysics investigated in the CRC with nucleosynthesis calculations to gain new insights into supernova explosions and their contribution to the chemical history of the Universe.
