B06: Nucleosynthesis in core-collapse supernovae

Project B06 will develop a comprehensive picture of nucleosynthesis in core-collapse supernovae including contributions from the explosive shock wave and the neutrino-driven wind. We will make progress in core-collapse supernova modeling including advances in neutrino-matter interactions and the nuclear equation of state based on chiral effective field theory. We will determine the impact of the different nuclear physics aspects that are investigated in the CRC on nucleosynthesis. This will maximize the impact of the CRC on astrophysics and guide future experimental and theoretical activities.
